
Steve Kristy heads LiquidPixels with 23 years of digital imaging experience to
his credit. Steve brings expertise and a proven track record of leadership to
the integration of software and hardware for consumer and commercial imaging
products and their development.
Prior to his decision to lay the foundation for LiquidPixels in 2000, Steve was
a Director at Kodak.com helping to lead the world’s largest imaging
company into the digital millennium. Among his many professional successes,
Steve was a notable Manager amidst the team that created the Photo CD System at
Eastman Kodak Company. As Development Manager for the follow-on FlashPix™
standard, Steve was integral in uniting Hewlett Packard, Microsoft,
LivePicture, and Kodak to this open imaging specification.
Steve holds both Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Electrical Engineering from
Rochester Institute of Technology, a BA, Management & Computer Science from
Bucknell University, and a BS, Chemical Engineering, Bucknell University. In
addition, Steve holds an Executive Development Certificate from The Kellogg
School of Management, Northwestern University.
As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Spencer leads the development of
LiquidPixels’ product base and service infrastructure. He has extensive
expertise in software, hardware, systems architecture design and integration,
image processing, and color management, with a focus on distributed network
systems, firewall design, and administration. Marc was the co-author of the
Internet Imaging Protocol (IIP), a proposed W3C standard for imaging. Marc also
has a strong publishing and typographic background having held positions at
Xerox, data recording systems and Spencer & Associates Publishing, Ltd. Most
recently, Marc was a Senior Internet Systems Architect at Eastman Kodak,
implementing Web-based imaging architectures for imaging applications. He has
been issued two patents. Marc holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Rochester.
