LiquiFire Image Servers enable graphics to be created on the fly and/or existing image assets to be dynamically manipulated. These existing assets need not be stored on the LiquiFire server and can, in fact, come from any network accessable storage location. Often however, there is a concern regarding exposing the location of the existing assets (raw artwork or stock content for instance) in the image chain of the image tag. In these situations, LiquiFire Image Chains™ can be hashed or encrypted so that the locations of the sensitive content is not discernable by the curious visitor who views the source of your dynamic web pages. LiquiFire provides three different (and entirely optional) mechanisms for protecting assets, restricting unauthorized use of imaging resources, and concealing image chains. By the way, the LiquidPixels’ website rarely utilizes these security features so that our visitors who wish to view the pages’ source can learn more about LiquiFire. However, there are a few demonstrations in the Increase Revenue and Reduce Costs sections that employ security features in order to protect some copyrighted image content. Contact us and we’d be glad to discuss any specific security issues that you may have. |
