LiquidPixels has added bidirectional GS1 GTIN support to LiquiFire OS, allowing the rendering platform to both read coded identifiers from an image and retrieve verified product data from the global GS1 standard during a single chain execution. The capability lets organizations generate product visuals that carry accurate, standardized information sourced directly from the authoritative product record.
GS1 GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers) are the identifiers behind the barcodes and QR codes used across retail and supply chains worldwide. With this integration, a LiquiFire Chain can decode a GTIN, resolve it against live GS1 data endpoints, and compose the returned attributes, names, dimensions, materials, certifications, into the rendered output.
How it works
Within a chain, LiquiFire OS detects and decodes barcodes and QR codes present in a source image or passed as a parameter. The decoded GTIN is used to query a GS1 GTIN endpoint over standard HTTPS and JSON interfaces. The structured product data returned, descriptive attributes, packaging information, and linked digital content, becomes available to the rest of the chain as variables.
Because resolution happens at render time, the output always reflects the current state of the GS1 record. The same chain can validate that an image's coded identifier matches its visual content, normalize externally supplied vendor assets to a consistent format, or generate a new image that embeds verified attributes as on-image text, icons, or layout.

Retailers and brand owners increasingly depend on syndicated product data and third-party imagery, where accuracy and consistency are difficult to guarantee. By connecting rendering directly to the GS1 standard, LiquiFire OS closes the gap between the product identifier and the visual that represents it. Product images become a reliable carrier of verified information rather than a separate, manually maintained asset.
The capability supports vertical applications that expect a consistent, validated format, marketplace compliance, regulated categories, and data-driven catalogues, by pulling, validating, and standardizing external assets as part of the same pipeline that produces the final image.
Availability
Bidirectional GS1 GTIN support is available now as part of LiquiFire OS. It can be deployed as SaaS, as a dedicated appliance within an organization's own infrastructure, or in hybrid configurations that match the organization's security and network requirements. LiquidPixels works directly with implementation teams to scope and configure the integration against existing data sources.
