From the beginning

Despite the continued sophistication of the Web, digital images are still treated like photographs. And, static images require a very high level of manual upkeep. True on demand dynamic imaging changed that.

What word processors once did for the written word, LiquidPixels LiquiFire OS now does for images on the Web. We did not latch onto the digital imagery trend, we created the technology, then introduced it to the world.

Stephen Kristy
CEO

Steve Kristy is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of LiquidPixels, Inc., leading the company’s global growth in dynamic imaging and visualization technology.

With more than four decades in imaging and digital workflow innovation, he began his career at Eastman Kodak, where he helped pioneer the Photo CD System and advanced large-scale imaging solutions.

At LiquidPixels, he has driven the development of LiquiFire® OS, powering photorealistic product customization and cloud-based visualization for major enterprise brands. Recognized for translating complex imaging technologies into scalable SaaS solutions, Steve has guided strategic alliances, platform integrations, and market expansion worldwide.

He holds degrees from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Bucknell University, and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Marc Spencer
CTO

Marc Spencer is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of LiquidPixels, Inc., where he leads development of the LiquiFire® OS dynamic imaging platform.

With deep expertise in imaging systems and scalable infrastructure, Marc began his career at Xerox and Spencer & Associates before joining Eastman Kodak, where he co-authored the Internet Imaging Protocol (IIP), a breakthrough that enabled high-performance web-based image viewing and laid the foundation for modern zoom and pan technologies.

At LiquidPixels, he has driven advances in color science, dynamic rendering, and 2½D and 3D visualization, delivering immersive, enterprise-scale imaging solutions for major global brands. Recognized for uniting creativity with engineering, Marc continues to design technologies that serve people—not the other way around.

Mike Brands
Director, Enterprise Solutions and Partnerships

Mike Brands is the Director of Enterprise Solutions and Partnerships at LiquidPixels, Inc., where he leads global initiatives that help clients achieve measurable results through imaging innovation.

With more than three decades in digital imaging and enterprise technology, Mike has held leadership roles at international media and technology companies, pioneering early large-scale dynamic imaging systems and driving transformation across DAM, PIM, CPQ, and workflow platforms.

At LiquidPixels, he has been integral since the company’s early years, guiding the integration of LiquiFire® OS into enterprise ecosystems and ensuring clients gain tangible business value through faster processes, seamless integrations, and impactful visual experiences.

An inventor with multiple patents in visualization technologies, Mike brings both technical expertise and strategic perspective to every partnership. Based in Amsterdam, he combines an international outlook with a focus on uniting innovation and enterprise performance.

Jason Agosta
Director, Development

Jason brings over 20 years of IT experience to his role leading the LiquidPixels software development and quality assurance teams.

As one of the first hires at LiquidPixels, Jason shaped many early technology initiatives before leaving in 2014 to explore new opportunities, including consulting and senior roles in development for various companies. He returned to LiquidPixels in 2021 with enhanced industry expertise, driving the LiquidPixels Development team to the forefront of digital imagery.

Jason graduated from the University of Massachusetts and resides north of Boston with his wife, son, and their shaggy yellow dog.
